Atwater Car Crash - Photosynth

Messing around with Microsoft Photosynth, I tried using that application with some photos from the Atwater car crash posted months ago...

Someone had tried to commit suicide by driving their car over the bluff of Atwater Beach in Milwaukee Wisconsin. These are photos of the recovery effort. At this point the person had already been recovered from the vehicle and taken to the hospital.

Over the weekend, Milwaukee legend DJ Rock Dee passed away. Chances are, if you don't know him personally, you knew of him. You probably saw him spin. Maybe heard him on 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. No matter what your connection, it was generally understood that he was a huge, positive force in Milwaukee's music community, and left behind an enormous group of friends, family, collaborators, students, and admirers.

Legendary DJ and On-Air radio personality Rock Dee died yesterday of an apparent suicide. While all the facts are not known at this time, and various rumors are starting to spread, what I do know is that he touched the lives of many, and will be sorely missed! From his web page:

It’s 1982, and out of 70’s music, and Break Dancing, and being influenced by a Multiple DJ Turntable Show headed by The Midwest Mixer Dr.B … DJ ROCKMASTER DEE was born. With musical education acquired from Uncle Dennis, Mr. Larry K Miles & many others the idea was becoming a reality. Transformation was completed when ROCKS father surprised him with 2 Turntables & a Microphone. Then Speech (peechy at the time) from Arrested Development said just hit em with a one, two punch …


Whether entertaining audiences from 100 to well over 50,000 DJ ROCK DEE has been identified as a BULLDOG type of DJ (ask him to see his logo), with a “NO FEAR” attitude of any audience presented in front of him.
