Vex'd in San Francisco, last weekend

Yes, the images are blurred, grimy, and lo-fi, but that fits the music, 'dunnit?
I got these sent to me via cell phone by Electric Heathen...
Damn I wish I was there...

He didn't tell me exactly where the set was held, but I'm guessing it was at Naut Human's little bunker/hideout/studio in the cuts, near the water, I think in bayside or something...

I gotta give him props for bringing top notch talent to the bay. Next time I just gotta be there to see it!

EH did send me a little sound clip from his phone, but, well, it sucked. Anybody record the set?

the comcast problem screws us all over...

If you have not seen it yet, there is news on the net that Comcast is using network shaping to such an extent that it is forging packets and disrupting network activity of certain programs, many of them legitimate. Just think, Joost, Miro/Democracy Player, TVTonic, Skype, or any other distributed content delivery could be affected. I know that affects me, and I am distributing my (legitimate) content through these means.
Even long-standing, legit apps like Lotus Notes are affected!
It also means that they are stifling competition to their pay services. They obviously see there is a threat in the free content distribution services out there, and they are putting the choke on it.
If you pay for the bandwidth, you should get it.
In addition to that, you should not be told what to do with it, and (short of malicious hacking) you should not be told what software innovations are acceptable for use.
People would not be buying high speed internet if they didn't anticipate using high-speed internet applications, such as BitTorrent.
And yes, there are LEGITIMATE uses for BitTorrent!
For example, many Miro Channels use BitTorrent.
Propellerhead software distributes some of their programs using BitTorrent, and so do others.
So if you use Comcast services, please rip them a new one and complain all the way up to the CEO about this!
Or, even better, sue them!

Bone Shaker- How We Rock

To get into the spirit of the season (seeing as its close to Halloween and all), I did this video for the the band Bone Shaker. Seeing as they are a heavy metal band, I figured they would like a grimy feel to their video. I gave them a choice of light, medium, or heavy 'grimy-ness'. As you can see, they wanted it as grimy as possible! It looks like it was pissed on, kicked around, left in the bat-infested warehouse where we shot the video for like, 20 years... and then, as you find it and watch it for the first time, it bursts into flames.

Jeremy Ellis Live in Stockolm

So my friend Kentura sent me these.
pretty sick MPC skills.
But I think half of it is good preparation, as in setting up proper kits on the MPC for live performance.
then the rest of it is mashin ya fingers all day to tap out 16th notes. ;)
